Darrell Gene Iverson

Darrell Gene Iverson, age 77 of Janesville, Minnesota passed away Friday, December 22, 2023, at Mayo Clinic in New Prague.

Celebration of Life will be held at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, January 13, 2024, at Mt. Olive Lutheran Church in Mankato. Visitation will be held one hour before the service at the church on Saturday. Burial will be at Eagle Lake Cemetery at a later date. Mankato Mortuary in charge of arrangements.

Darrell Gene Iverson was born September 27, 1946, to Iler and Gladys (Dale) Iverson in Waseca, Minnesota. He graduated in 1964 from Bethany High School in Mankato. Darrell served his country in the US Marines from 1965 – 1968. He had two tours in Vietnam and was discharged as a Sargent.  Together Darrell, his father Iler and brother Ramond formed DIR Construction. He enjoyed building homes for 50 years before retiring. Darrell was a member of Mt. Olive Lutheran Church. In his free time Darrell loved all things fishing and woodworking.

Darrell is survived by his three children, Rachel (Matt) Fasnacht of Cape Girardeau, MO, Greg Iverson and Phil Iverson both of Eagle Lake; 11 grandchildren, Amanda, Matthew, Mackenzie, Darrell, Jalen, Catherine, Josephine, Lena, Abigail, Kenneth, and Amirra; four great-grandchildren, Gavin, Marlea, Joseph, and Luca; four siblings, Karen (Darrell) Hoepner of Bloomer, WI, Genevieve (Franklin) Selvey of Villages, FL, Lavonne (Michael) Keske of Hackensack, Ramond Iverson of Janesville; brother-in-law, Howard Schroeder of Fort Myers, FL; many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Preceded in death by his parents; sister Rosella Schroeder; grandson, Jeremiah Fasnacht.
