David Torres Duenes

David Torres Duenes passed away on Thursday, May 5, 2022 in North Mankato, MN. He was 70 years old.

He was born in Waseca, MN on August 18, 1951. After graduating St. Clair High School, he served his country in the US Navy. He returned to Minnesota and settled in N. Mankato to start a career in printing that lasted until his retirement in 2016.

Dave loved MN sports especially the Minnesota Twins. He loved watching his grandchildren grow up. He also enjoyed other activities such as golfing, softball, WWE, demolition derby and Christmas tamale making with his children.

Dave is survived by his daughter, Nicole Duenes and her partner Michael Young; son, Joseph Duenes; son, Marcus Duenes and his partner, Tierra Tester; and his grandchildren, Corbin Tester and Grayson Duenes. He was predeceased by his parents, Marcelino and Benita Duenes; and brothers, Joseph Duenes and James Duenes.

The memorial service will be in Spring Lake Park Shelter #2 located at 650 Webster Avenue, North Mankato, MN 56003 on Sunday, June 5, 2022. The family will be there to welcome friends and family from 12pm – 4pm. Any donations can be made in Dave’s name to The Disabled American Veterans at www.dav.org.
