David Richard Hoffman

David Richard Hoffman, age 57 of Mankato, died Thursday May 23, 2019 at his home.

Celebration of Life service will be held at 4:00 p.m., Tuesday, May 28, 2019 at Northview – North Mankato Mortuary. Visitation will be from 2:00 p.m. until the service at 4:00 p.m. Memorials may be given to the donor’s choice.

David was born November 27, 1961 to Richard and Nancy (Anderson) Hoffman in Mankato, Minnesota. He graduated from Mankato East High School in 1980. Dave attended school in Albert Lea and South Central Collage in North Mankato. He was united in marriage to Rose Wirig-Petersen on June 18, 2011 at Izatys Resort on Lake Mille Lacs. Dave worked as a Journeyman Electrician in the Mankato area before spending 20 years at Crown Cork and Seal in Mankato.

Dave was a member of the Nicollet County Conservation Club. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, golfing, his dogs and their cabin at Mille Lacs. Dave was always there for his family and friends lending a hand with projects.

David is survived by his wife, Rose; three step-sons, Jonathan (Patty) Petersen, Mitchell Petersen; Brett (Alexis) Petersen; two grandchildren, Brayden and Brianna; three siblings, Tom (Mary) Hoffman, Patti (David) Bye, Jane Hoffman; sister-in-law, Kathy Hoffman; brothers-in-law, Pat Conley; nieces and nephews. 

Preceded in death by his parents, brother, John Hoffman; sister, Barb Conley; nephew, Nick Hoffman.
