Debra Lynn Nelson, age 63, of Mankato, died Sunday, October 13, 2019.

Funeral Service 11:00 a.m., Saturday, October 19, 2019 at Hosanna Lutheran Church, Mankato. Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m., Friday at Mankato Mortuary and will continue one hour before service on Saturday at the church. Interment will be in Woodland Hills Memorial Park, Mankato.

Debra was born October 26, 1955 in Minneapolis to Sheldon C. and Geneva M. (Museus) Cooper. She graduated from LeSueur High School and Mankato Business College. Debra was employed at the Freightliner Dealership in Mankato, where she met her husband. Debra was united in marriage to Douglas C. Nelson on December 1, 1984 at Zion United Church, LeSueur. She later worked for International Multifoods, the family transportation business, and Herberger’s. Debra enjoyed spending time with her family and trips to Disney World.

Debra is survived by her husband, Douglas; daughter, Emily (Michael) Schlueter of Janesville and their children, Savannah and Easton; son, Dillon Nelson of Mankato; sister, Sheryl (Mark) Youngbloom of St. Peter; in-laws, Richard (Peggy) Nelson, David (Lynn) Nelson, Donna (Dale) Voges; nieces and nephews.

Debra was preceded in death by her parents; parents-in-law, Cleo and Dorothy Nelson; in-laws, Dean and Norma Nelson.
