Delores Lorene Schweim

Delores Lorene Schweim, age 90 of Mankato died Wednesday November 20, 2019 at New Perspective in Mankato.

Funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Monday, November 25, 2019 at Hosanna Lutheran Church in Mankato. Burial will be in St. John Ev. Lutheran Cemetery in St. Clair. Visitation will be held from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m., Sunday at Northview – North Mankato Mortuary and continues one hour before the service at the church on Monday. In lieu of flowers the family prefers memorials to Hosanna Lutheran Church or the donor’s choice.

Delores Lorene Schweim was born March 19, 1929 to Martin and Meta (Heitner) Rahn in Rapidan Township, Minnesota. She graduated from Good Thunder High School and later attended Mankato Commercial College. She was united in marriage to Louis Schweim on September 11, 1948 at St. John Lutheran Church Good Thunder, Minnesota. The couple made their home in rural Mankato where they raised their family and later moved to New Perspective in Mankato. Delores was the family record keeper for Schweim Farms. She was a member of Hosanna Lutheran Church in Mankato and a member of Eagle Lake Aux.

Delores enjoyed keeping an orderly home, flower gardening, playing cards, spending time with family and friends.

Delores is survived by; six children, Karen (Dick) Krueger of Mankato, Louis K. (Susan) Schweim of Pemberton, Ralph (Bobbie) Schweim of Mapleton, Kathy (Doug) Rotchadl of Mantorville, MN, Myron (Liz) Schweim of Mankato, Jeff (Debbie) Schweim of Mankato; 17 grandchildren, 34 great-grandchildren and one due in January; brother, LeRoy (Norma) Rahn of Good Thunder; brother-in-law, Ardie (Barb) Schweim of Janesville; nieces and nephews.

Preceded in death by husband of 69 years, Louie; parents and two sisters.
