Dick Drew
Dick Rodney Drew, age 63, died Thursday, January 11, 2024, at Birchwood Cottages in North Mankato.
Memorial service will be held 11:00 a.m., Saturday, April 27, 2024 at Northview-North Mankato Mortuary, 2060 Commerce Drive, North Mankato. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. Burial with military honors will be at 2:30 p.m., Saturday, April 27, 2024 at Glencoe City Cemetery.
Memorials are preferred to St. Croix Hospice or to an organization of the donor's choice.
Dick Rodney Drew was born August 28, 1960, in Glencoe, Minnesota, the youngest of four children born to Lester and Sarah (Fritz) Drew. He attended and graduated from Glencoe High School. Dick actively served for 20 years in the US Navy and was honorably discharged.
He was employed as an electrician for several years prior to his retirement. He had resided in Washington and Texas before his return to Minnesota. He spent much of his time outdoors including fishing, four wheeling and hanging out with his best canine buddy, Houston.
Survivors include three siblings, Sandra Bauer of Cold Spring, Minnesota, Pamela Sandland and husband Don, of Mankato, Minnesota, Don Drew of Glencoe, Minnesota, nieces, nephews and their families. Dick was preceded in death by his parents, a very special friend, Robin White, a brother-in-law, Arnie Bauer, and his best buddy, Houston.
