Dixie was united in marriage to Roger D. Krengel on August 25, 1956 at her parent’s farm in Belgrade Township. She worked as an overseas telephone operator for Mankato Citizens Telephone Company for several years.

Dixie enjoyed traveling and had traveled to Europe before her marriage and returned with Julie. She enjoyed Belgium the most because of all the sweetness of chocolate, which was like her personality. She took great pride tending to her beautiful flower gardens of sweet smelling flocks, roses and peonies and she grew delicious raspberries. Dixie and Roger loved to dance together whenever they could.

Dixie was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother and loved her family dearly.

Her strong faith in Jehovah God was evident by her actively sharing the good news of God’s Kingdom with others.

Dixie is survived by her three children, Julie (Michael) Gustafson of North Mankato, Heidi Gray of Waseca, Kevin (Kristel) Krengel of North Mankato; four grandsons, Gerry Gustafson, Geordi Gustafson, Terrance Joel “TJ” Stroble, and Benjamin Stroble; brother, Richard “Bud” (Nancy) Loucks; brother-in-law, Ronald (Illa Jean) Krengel of Minnesota Lake; three sisters-in-law, Revé Krengel, JoAnn Krengel, and Pattie Krengel; nieces, nephews, and cousins.
