She was married to Bryant M. Warren at his home in Brandon, Manitoba, Canada in 1939. At the time of his death in 2005, they had been married for 66 years.

The family was transferred to Mankato in 1952, and that is where they resided until becoming Florida residents in 1975. They returned to Mankato in 2000.

Dolores was a member of First Presbyterian Church, The Woman’s Club of Mankato, and Chapter BE P.E.O. While in Naples, she was a member of the Moorings Presbyterian Church, the Country Club of Naples, the Naples Sailing and Yacht Club, and volunteered at LUV.

Much joy was added to Dolores’ life by the activities of her children; both as children and adults. She is survived by children, Ann Warren Schmidt (Fred) of Burlington, Vermont, and George B. (Mary) Warren of North Mankato, Minnesota; grandchildren, Kate Schmidt of Tucson, Arizona, Amy Brooks of Havre de Grace, Maryland, Jennifer Warren of Steamboat Springs, Colorado, David Schmidt of Burlington, Vermont, Tony Warren of North Mankato, Minnesota; great-grandchildren, Dion, Natiah, TJ, Eva, Savannah, and George.

Her family will miss her brilliant mind and her indomitable spirit, which we gratefully loved for so many years.

Memorials may be directed to KMSU 89.7 FM Minnesota State University, Mankato, MN or Mayo Hospice West of Mankato, MN.

A special thank you to Jean, Kari, and Monica for the many years of care, making it possible for her to stay at home until the end of her life. Thank you to Mayo Hospice, especially Nancy, Krista, and all of the nurses who made home visits. Thank you to Eva, Emily, Liz and Denise for the compassion and care they gave.
