Donald Charles Bequette, age 87, died on May 16, 2021.
Don was born on June 20, 1933, to Archie and Eva (Elsner) Bequette in Fairchild, WI. He was baptized and confirmed at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church where he later married Bonita Craker on August 2, 1952. He attended Gale Institute in Minneapolis before being drafted into the Army Signal Corp. He was honorably discharged in 1955. Don and Bonnie started their family in 1954 with a son, Ronald Charles and Bryon Kent in 1958. They had seven grandsons, Mike, Joe, Tom, David, Stephen, John, and Daniel and five great-grandchildren, Isabel, Bales, Jaci, Raider, and Felicity. Don worked for North Central Airlines before becoming an owner of All Seasons Tour and Travel in the Madison East Mall. His passion was traveling, playing dartball, bowling, softball, umpiring, and attending all family games and events.
Don is survived by his wife of 68 years, Bonnie; sons, Ron (Becky) of St. Clair and Bryon (Debbie) of Excelsior and their families; sister, Harriet Jensen of Iowa; and many other close dear relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother; and one grandson.
A private family service will be held with Pastor Adam Matheny of Our Savior’s Lutheran Church. Mankato Mortuary is assisting the family with arrangements.
