Doris Marilyn Hansen

Doris Marilyn Hansen, 73, passed away unexpectedly at her home on April 15, 2025. She was born November 30, 1951 to Raymond and Lillian (Wendt) Linsmeier in Fairfax, MN where she grew up as the youngest of four on the family farm near Fairfax.

Funeral Service will be at 11:00a.m., May 3, 2025 at Mankato Mortuary (1001 N Riverfront Drive, Mankato, MN). Visitation will be held one hour prior. Private family burial will be held at a later time.

On June 12,1970 she married Raymond Howard Hansen Jr. in South Dakota and spent over 30 years raising their two daughters Tina and Michelle in Mankato, MN. During that time, they spent enjoying countless trips, bowling as a family, fishing and school events before Raymond later passed away in 2003. She worked at Minnesota State University - Mankato for over 35 years helping 1000’s of students graduate, where she also obtained her Master’s Degree in Business Administration. Later moving on to help set up the DARS program before she retired. After retirement she enjoyed traveling to warmer places and taking many trips and cruises with her daughters and granddaughters.

She loved watching the Minnesota Vikings and was an avid collector of coins and beanie babies. Doris also enjoyed reading, playing bingo, playing games and spending time with her family.

Doris is survived by daughters Tina Hansen and Michelle (Hansen) Brown; granddaughters Jessica Brown (Sam) and Kaitlyn Brown (Mitch); great-granddaughters Morgan and Karsyn, siblings Donald Linsmeier(Elsie) & Marilyn Zieman and many nieces and nephews.

She was proceeded in death by her parents, Raymond and Lillian, husband Raymond, brother Maynard, brother-in-law Martin and her fur babies.
