Doris Rose Hoffrogge

Doris Rose (Fischer) Hoffrogge, beloved daughter, sister, wife, mother, aunt, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend, went to her heavenly home to be with her husband, Harry, on June 23, 2021. A graveside service will be held at Woodland Hills Memorial Park, officiated by Pastor Adam of Hosanna Lutheran Church for immediate family, on June 30, 2021. Mankato Mortuary in charge of arrangements.

 

Doris was born on November 28, 1930, in Redwood Falls to Joseph and Rose (Huber) Fischer. She attended school in Wabasso, graduating in 1948. Doris was united in marriage to Harry Hoffrogge in 1950 in Wabasso. She worked for Midtex in Mankato for 10 years, ADC in Le Sueur for 30 years and she especially enjoyed working for 10 years at the Dairy Queen during her retirement. Harry and Doris spent 60 years Polka dancing around southern Minnesota and Iowa. For 20 years they their winter home in Mission, Texas where they enjoyed Polka dancing and playing cards. Doris enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.

 

Doris is lovingly remembered by her six children, Michael Hoffrogge (friend Barb) of Mankato, Larry (Kathi) Hoffrogge of Mankato, Brenda (Russell) Alton of Rice Lake, WI, Lucinda (Warren) Alleven of Delavan, Shari Kelley of Phoenix, AZ and Harry Dean (Jane) Hoffrogge of Kellen, TX; 15 grandchildren, Carrie, Crystal, Melanie, Nicholas, Chris, Trisha, Tamara, Jason, Melissa, Christina, Jessica, Sonya, Joey, Hillary, Harry James and 32 great-grandchildren, her brother, John (Colleen) Fischer and many nieces and nephews.

 

Doris was proceeded in death by her husband, Harry, grandson, John Hoffrogge, great-granddaughter, Allycia Kelley, great-granddaughter, Audrey Johnston; parents, Joe and Rose Fischer and her sister, Inez Hoffrogge.

 

Doris’s family would like to thank her close friends, the staff at Primrose and Laurel’s Peak for taking care of their Mom.
