Dr. David M. Pence

Dr. David M. Pence, age 72, of Mankato, died on June 4, 2019 at Mayo Clinic Health System in Mankato.

Visitation will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. on Friday, June 7, 2019 at the Mankato Mortuary, with memory sharing at 5:30 p.m. followed by recitation of the Rosary.

Funeral Mass will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, June 8, 2019 at Ss. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Mankato.

Interment will be at 1 p.m. on Monday, June 10, 2019 at St. Mary’s Cemetery, 4403 Chicago Ave. in Minneapolis. 

Dr. David Marshall Pence, the son of Robert D. and Audrie Anne (Marshall) Pence, was born on November 11, 1946 in Crystal, MN.

He is survived by his wife, Candice; sister, Frances (Rick) Myran; eight children and their spouses; seven grandchildren; and many loving nieces and nephews, all of whom held a big place in his heart and his prayer life.

He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Diane, Ellen, and Carole; nephew, Jake; and wife, Mary Katherine Pence.

His was a life dedicated to service of God, church, and family. His was a mind that sought the truth. His was a heart that was indefatigably loving and generous. May his memory be blessed and may he rise to life eternal with Christ.
