Duane Robert Baumgartner

Duane Baumgartner, age 86, of Mankato, died on February 5, 2021 at Oaklawn Health Care Center. 

A private family service will be held.  Burial will be in Pilgrims Rest Cemetery.  Mankato Mortuary is assisting the family with arrangements.

Duane was born on June 29, 1934 in Mankato to George and Edith (Haslip) Baumgartner.  He was a carpenter and was a member of the Carpenter and Joiners Union.  Duane also farmed for many years with his brother, Ralph.  Duane loved traveling, bowling, and playing cards.  He enjoyed watching NASCAR.  Duane was very social and enjoyed his coffee groups.

Duane is survived by his son, Wayne (Deb) Baumgartner; daughters, Kim Seys and Kris Lotton; 8 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; sister, Betty Jane (Warren) Riese; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Ralph; and son-in-law, Chris Seys.
