Duane Krueger

Duane Clarence “Dewey” Krueger, 78, of Mankato, MN passed away peacefully on Tuesday, August 29, 2023, surrounded by family and loved ones. Duane was born on July 3^rd, 1945, in Mankato, MN. He grew up in Lake Crystal, MN, and met the love of his life, Pudge, in 1963. They were married on August 28, 1965, celebrating 58 years (or as Dewey would say, 406 dog years), this past Monday. Together, they raised three children in Mankato.

Duane served in the Army National Guard for 12 years. After which he made a career with Lundin Construction and continued working with the family up until the time of his death.

Duane was an avid golfer and loyal Pittsburgh Steeler fan. Above all and highest priority, was his love for his family.

Duane is survived by his wife, Pudge of 58 years; daughter, Lisa (Al) Brewer; sons, Terry (Jill) Krueger and Rick (Londa) Krueger; grandchildren, Lindsey Benson and Chelsey Cummings, Nathan & Kamron Krueger, Tyla, Levi and Nora Krueger and Elizabeth, Eric, Emma, and Ethan Brewer; great grandchildren, Brielle and Tate Benson; his sister, Lucy Masters; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Clarence and LaVola Krueger; brother, John Krueger; and granddaughter, Kylie Renae Krueger.

Services for Duane will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, September 2^nd, 2023 at Northview – North Mankato Mortuary, 2060 Commerce Drive, North Mankato. Visitation will be from 10 to 11:30 a.m. We would love for you to join us in the celebration of Duane’s life following services at the Mankato Eagle’s Club, 708 N. Riverfront Drive, Mankato.
