Duane Lundgren

Duane Eugene Lundgren, 81, of Mankato, died January 11, 2022 at the Sleepy Eye Care Center.

Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m., Monday, January 17, 2022 at Northview-North Mankato Mortuary, 2060 Commerce Dr., in North Mankato. Burial will be at Tivoli Cemetery at a later date.

Duane was born April 12, 1940 to Gustaf and Helen (Bucholz) Lundgren in Mankato. He attended school in Mankato and served in the US Army in 1959 and 1960. He married Kathleen Plonske on October 28, 1987 in Nathville, Tennessee. He retired from Winco Manufacturing. In his free time, Duane enjoyed upholstery work, refinishing furniture and grilling.

Duane is survived by his children, Pam (Keith Spoors) Veith, Shelly Swanson, and Lonny Lundgren; 8 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; stepchildren, Kelly (Bryce) Pier and Luke Dungan; 3 step-grandchildren; siblings, Richard, Sandra Rauchmann, Michael, and Vern (Bernice); and sister-in-law, Bonnie Lundgren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Kathleen; son, Terry; son-in-law, Nubs Wayne Swanson; and siblings, Donna (Marvin) Passon, Robert, and Gary.
