Dustin Gene Wiley, age 38, of St. Peter, died suddenly on Friday, January 22, 2021 while doing what he loved.
Public visitation will be held from 4 to 7:30 p.m. on Friday, January 29, 2021 at the Northview - North Mankato Mortuary, 2060 Commerce Drive, North Mankato. Masks and social distancing are required. A private service will be held for the family and will be webcasted at www.mankatomortuary.com.
Dustin Gene, the son of Clyde “Buck” and Lois (Bolduc) Wiley, was born on February 11, 1982 in Minneapolis. In 2001, he graduated from St. Peter High School and obtained his associate degree in carpentry from South Central College in Faribault. Dustin worked as a carpenter at the St. Peter Regional Treatment Center. He enjoyed anything outdoors including camping, deer hunting, motorcycling, music festivals, snowmobiling, swimming, surfing, and wakeboarding. Dustin also enjoyed hockey and softball and coaching his son in hockey. Dustin loved being a daddy. He was patient, caring, fun and loved his children fiercely. He always lived life to the fullest and was the rock and glue that anchored his family together. Dustin was a loyal friend. His smile and laugh lit up the room. Dustin was loved by everyone he met and will be dearly missed.
He is survived by his children, Joy, Allison and Eli Wiley; parents, Buck and Lois Wiley; big sister; Gretchen (Wade) Fischer and their children, Miles, Maxwell, and Malin; twin brother, Brock (Amanda) Wiley; younger brother, Micah (Malia) Wiley; maternal grandparents, Edward and Sharon Green; mother to his children, Angie Anderson; the love of his life, April Hornemann and her children, Kendra and Wyatt; honorary sister from Chile, Patricia Contreras her husband Rodrigo Rojo and their children, Dominga, Clemente, Augusta, and Octavia; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Clyde and Marge Wiley; maternal grandpa, Robert Bolduc; and uncle, Mark Wiley.
