E. Renée Jones

E. Renée Jones, age 91, of rural Lake Crystal, died peacefully Wednesday, October 7, 2020 at her home surrounded by her family.

Funeral Service will be held at 1:30 p.m., Sunday, October 11, 2020 at Northview – North Mankato Mortuary, 2060 Commerce Drive, North Mankato with Rev. Penny Johnson, officiating.  Interment will be in Jerusalem Cemetery, rural Lake Crystal.  Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., Sunday at Northview.  Memorials may be given to Mayo Clinic Health System Hospice – Mankato or the Cambria Presbyterian Church.

Renée was born June 22, 1929 to Leon Paul and Lillian Winifred (Hughes) Hendricks in Mankato. She graduated from Lake Crystal High School in 1947. Renée was united in marriage to Harold A. Jones on June 30, 1947 at the Jerusalem Presbyterian Church Parsonage in Judson.  Renée was a farm wife and homemaker for her family.  She helped on the family farm in all capacities.  She was a member of the Cambria Presbyterian Church where she had served as a Sunday school teacher, youth advisor, and a member of the Women’s Association.  Renée enjoyed square dancing, playing cards, vegetable and flower gardening, and hosting family gatherings.

Renée is survived by three daughters, Nancy (Keith) Frette of Sioux City, IA; Kathy (special friend, Tom Betcher) Erickson of Prior Lake; and Becky (Calvin) Tate of Lake Crystal; 13 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; brother, Tom Hendricks of North Mankato; sister-in-law, Caroline Jones of Mankato; many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Renée was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Harold on April 17, 2014; infant son; two daughters, Mary Jean Bottenfield on June 14, 2010; Sue Jones on April 25, 2014; son-in-law, Paul Erickson on May 21, 2005; twin granddaughters, Wendy Sue and Wanda Jean Erickson; brother, John “Hank” Hendricks; brother and sister-in-law, William “Benny” and Barb Hendricks; sister-in-law, Mary Hendricks; brother-in-law, John “Jack” Hayden Jones; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Vivian and Lloyd Jones.
