Edith Julia Miller, age 89 of Mankato died Tuesday August 25, 2020 at Laurels Peak in Mankato.
Memorial Mass will be held at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday September 1, 2020 at SS Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Mankato. Visitation 9:30 – 11:00 a.m., Tuesday at the church. Burial will be at Calvary Cemetery in Mankato. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the donor’s choice. Mankato Mortuary in charge of arrangements.
Edith Miller was born February 4, 1931 to Herman and Mary (Daschner) Hoehn at Madison Lake. She grew up in Oshawa Township and graduated from St. Peter High School in 1949. Edith was united in marriage to Roman Miller on July 10, 1954 in St. Peter. She worked at Valley News and was a proofreader at Carlson Craft. Edith was a member of SS Peter and Paul Catholic Church and was active in mission quilting and Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament. Her hobbies included gardening, word puzzles and in her younger days riding bike.
Survived by her four children, David (Lori) Miller of North Mankato, Diane (Gregory) Eichten of Rochester, Robert (Rebecca) Miller of North Mankato, Kathleen (George) Ostgarden of Colorado; six grandchildren, Jerrica, Lee, Jon, Annie, Eric, and Annette; six great-grandchildren; sister, Monica Kling of Mankato; brother-in-law, Richard (Deloris) Miller of Mankato; many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Preceded in death by her husband, Roman; son, Michael; five siblings, Arthur Hoehn, Willard Hoehn, Evelyn Derner, Alfred Hoehn, and Gilbert Hoehn.
