Edwin Wayne Jobe, 75, of Lake Crystal passed away on Dec 7, 2021 at home surrounded by his family.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Dec. 19th 1:00-5:00 p.m. at the Mankato Eagles Club. Mankato Mortuary is assisting the family with arrangements.
Ed was born June 18, 1946 to Alvin and Darleen (Hemmelrick) Jobe in Mankato, MN. He graduated high school in Good Thunder, MN in 1964. Ed worked with his father at Al’s Locker and later he operated his own mobile butcher business, he continued helping family and friends with everything from chickens to hogs for as long as he was able to. Ed spent many years restoring antiques and later doing custom upholstery. He was the owner and operator of his own trucking company and the stories he could tell of times on the road never got old. He loved cooking, camping, hunting and especially fishing. He was a great camp host and loved his time in the various places he traveled for the winters after retirement. He made many good friends wherever he went. He loved life and lived it to the fullest.
Ed married Judy Wandersee in 1965, and were blessed with 3 children, Robin, Gina & Robert (Bob). They later divorced. In 1987 he married Gail Arnold and was honored with a bonus son Monty. She passed away in 2003. In 2013 he married Judy Marasco and was honored with 4 bonus children, Fay, Dale, Scott and Mary Jo.
Ed was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Gail; sister and brother-in-law, Ellen and Robert Evenson; brother, David Jobe. He is survived by his wife, Judy; children, Robin (Lynn) Guhlke, Gina (Ron) Meyer, Bob (Jen) Jobe, Monte (Meghan Petersen) Lewis, Fay (Rich) VandenBrook, Dale Fladung, Scott (Rene) Fladung, Mary Jo (Dale) Marasco-Thompson, Ivy Lewis; 17 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; brothers, Rodney and Terry Bangert; as well as nieces, nephews and many extended family and friends
The family would like the thank Mayo Hospice for the wonderful care they gave Ed during these past months.
