Eileen Lillian Dalluge, age 92, of Mankato, and formerly of Good Thunder, died on Monday, December 21, 2020 at Laurel’s Peak Rehabilitation Center in Mankato.
Visitation will be held from 10 to 11 a.m. on Tuesday, December 29, 2020 at the Mankato Mortuary, 1001 N. Riverfront Drive, Mankato with burial following at Lyra Cemetery in Good Thunder. Eileen was born on December 26, 1927 to Alvin and Lillie (Blume) Nelson in Rapidan Township. She was baptized on February 5, 1928 by Rev. John Langholz and confirmed on May 17, 1942 by Rev. F.E. Damm at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Good Thunder. On June 17, 1947, she married Roger O. Dalluge by Rev. F.E. Damm. In 1946, Roger and Eileen built their house in Good Thunder and Eileen lived there for 70 years until moving to Ecumen Pathstone Living in 2016 and Laurel’s Peak Rehabilitation Center in 2018. Roger and Eileen owned and operated Dalluge Plumbing and Heating in Good Thunder and she was their bookkeeper until they sold the business in 1967. She was also previously employed at Madson’s in the Madison East Mall, Hillcrest Rehabilitation Center in Mankato, and cleaned houses. Eileen enjoyed being a volunteer driver for VINE Faith in Action and she was a member at Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Mankato. Eileen loved spending time outdoors, especially tending to her flower garden, and she also loved cats and dogs.
She is survived by her sons, Craig Dalluge of Mankato and Darin (Tasha) Dalluge of Wakonda, SD; and grandchildren, Cooper Dalluge of Vermillion, SD and Morgan Dalluge of Wakonda, SD.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Alvin in 1952 and Lillie in 1995; and her husband, Roger in 1999.
