Eleanora Marie “Ellie” Frank, age 94, of Mankato, died on Wednesday, February 3, 2021 at Oak Terrace Senior Living of Le Sueur.

Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m.  on Tuesday, February 9, 2021 at the Mankato Mortuary, 1001 N. Riverfront Drive, Mankato. Visitation will be 9:30 to 11 a.m. prior to the service. Interment will be at Calvary Cemetery in Mankato. Masks and social distancing are required. The service will be livestreamed at www.mankatomortuary.com.

Eleanora Marie, the daughter of John Raymond and Ada (Helms) Denton, was born on May 15, 1926 in Graham Lakes Township, MN. On November 25, 1942, Ellie married Ambrose William Frank in Fairfax, MN and he preceded her in death in 1977. After Ambrose’s death, Ellie enjoyed traveling and visiting many states with her friend. Ellie was a greeter at Walmart in Mankato for over 20 years. She was a two time president of the Morson Ario VFW Auxiliary and also on the Morson Ario VFW bowling team.

She is survived by her daughters, Gail (David) Brandt and Evangeline (Boyd) Mins; daughter in law, Betty Frank; 10 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; 24 great great grandchildren; sister in law, Betty Denton; and special friend, Norman Janssen.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Ambrose Frank; son, James Frank; great grandson, Louden Frank; and brothers, Bill Denton and Calvin Denton.
