Mankato Mortuary 1001 North Riverfront Dr. Mankato, MN 56001 507-388-2202   Elizabeth (Betty) Bisch, age 96 of Madison Lake died Sunday, April 14, 2019 at Hillcrest Health Care Center in Mankato.   Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Marysburg. Burial at the church cemetery. Visitation will be held from 4 – 7 p.m., Monday and one hour before the service on Tuesday ALL at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to: Mayo Clinic Hospice, Madison Lake American auxiliary or the Madison Lake Fire Department.   Betty was born October 21, 1922 to Ben and Nora (Daby) Beetch. Ben was electrocuted one month before she was born. Her step-father was Frank Lunkenheimer. She attended Sugar Grove Country School. She married Matt Bisch on November 25, 1945 SS Peter and Paul Catholic church in Mankato. They farmed in the Madison Lake area for many years.   Betty was an active member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Marysburg, CCW member and helped with the annual fish fry for many years. She was a member of Madison Lake American Legion Aux., Life member of VFW Aux., serving as president for both clubs for three terms. Also she volunteered at the VFW cooking meals for weddings and any function that involved food. She was also a member of the Madison Lake Historical Society. Betty loved making quilts embroidering and crocheting which she did until the end.  She enjoyed 1st Wednesday of the Month Ladies Lunch, Card Club on 2nd Wednesday of the month, Saturday morning coffee, Sunday morning breakfast. She enjoyed spending time with family and especially her grandkids, great-grandkids and great-great-grandkids.   Betty is survived by her seven children, Norein (Albert) Weinandt, Marian (Tom) Peterson,  Anita (Phil) Rothmeier, Cheryl (Joe) Stegmaier, Joyce (Mark) Miller, Marcy (Kent) Pearce, Mark (Diane) Bisch; 13 grandchildren, Erin (Aaron) Kuiper, Cres (Tony) Reid, Josh (Grace) Bisch, Zach Peterson, Amanda Stegmaier, Frank Stegmaier, William Miller and special friend, Nicole, Allie Pearce, Christopher Pearce, Jamie (Tarrah) Bisch, Justina Bisch and special friend, Sam, Heidi (Chad) Phillips, Kristina (Matt) Berg; 14 great-grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; brother-in-law, Ed Frederick.   Betty’s family was right by her side as she passed on Sunday morning.   Preceded in death by her parents, husband, Matt; sons, Jimmy, Mike and Roger; daughter-in-law, Lynn; grandson, Matt; sister, Shirley Frederick.   Betty’s family would like to thank the Madison Lake Fire and Rescue, Mayo Clinic Health Systems and Mayo Clinic Hospice.
