Ella A. Conrad

Ella Almira Conrad, age 88, died Tuesday, June 20, 2023

Memorial Service 11 a.m., Saturday, July 1, 2023, at the United Church of Mapleton. Visitation will be one hour before service at the church on Saturday. Interment will be in Sterling Cemetery, rural Amboy.   Memorials may be given to Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson's Research. Mankato Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.

Ella was born June 29, 1934, to John A. and Almira A. (Nicloy) Ritter in Ruthton, Minnesota, the 13^th of 16 children. After graduating from high school in Mora, MN, Ella worked for the Minneapolis Health Department for 10 years. Ella was united in marriage to Delbert L. Conrad on April 3, 1965, at Temple Baptist Church in Minneapolis, MN. They farmed in Sterling Township until retiring in 2003.  

Ella was a member of the United Church of Mapleton and its ladies fellowship, a Sunday school teacher, and a member of the Sterling Study Club. Ella enjoyed gardening, cooking, sewing, playing cribbage, and square dancing.

Ella is survived by her husband, Delbert; daughter, Diane Conrad; son, Gerald (Brenda) Conrad; grandchildren, Devan (Danielle) Powell, Jacob Conrad, and Maredith Conrad; great-grandchildren, Ivy, Lily, Willow ; siblings, Anne Irwin, Donald (Eleanor) Ritter, Robert “Bob” (Donna) Ritter, Betty (Ron) Wyatt, and Alice Kadar; nieces, nephews, and extended family.

Ella was preceded in death by her parents and by siblings, Lloyd, William “Bill”, Elizabeth, Irene, John, Mary, Dorthy, Frank, Esther, and Jesse.
