Elsie E. Sohre

Elsie E. Sohre, age 102, of Mankato, died on Monday, April 29, 2019 at Pathstone Living. 

Funeral Service will be held on Friday, May 3 at 11:00 a.m. at Seventh Day Adventist Church.  Visitation will be 9:30-11:00 on Friday at the church.  Burial will be at Woodland Hills Memorial Park. Mankato Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.

Elsie was born on February 16, 1917 in Mankato to Charles and Jessica (Smith) Plumb.  Elsie was united in marriage to George Johnson on February 26, 1934. He died in 1966.  She then married Anton Sohre on August 14, 1969 and he died in 2001. Elsie enjoyed music, especially playing the organ, piano, and harmonica. 

Elsie is survived by her daughter, Donna (Don) Mann of Mankato; son, Russell (Pat) Johnson of Mankato; step-son, Larry (Deb) Sohre of New Hampshire; 16 grandchildren; many great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her husband, George and Anton; 3 brothers; 3 sisters.
