Emily Suzanne Wiens, age 46, of Lake Crystal, died unexpectedly on Sunday, October 13, 2019 at her home.

 

Visitation will be held from 4-7pm, Thursday, October 17, 2019 at Northview ~ North Mankato Mortuary. Funeral service will be 10:30am, Friday, October 18, 2019 at Christ the King Lutheran Church with visitation one hour prior. Burial will follow at the Lake Crystal Cemetery. Emily was born July 10, 1973 in Edina to Richard and Judith (Bonnell) Lindell. She graduated from Armstrong High School in 1991 and studied Therapeutic Recreation at Mankato State University. While in college, Emily was introduced to Chad Wiens. Their friendship blossomed into a relationship, and they were married on August 12, 2000.

 

Emily was kind, generous, and adored by many. Her caring personality made her an excellent team leader at MRCI where she worked for several years. In her spare time, she loved spending time with her family and watching her children’s activities. She treasured her nieces and nephews, who referred to her lovingly as “Auntie Em.”

 

As a member of Christ the King Lutheran Church, Emily was involved with spiritual education. She was a leader with confirmation classes and taught Sunday school.

 

Emily is survived by her husband and best friend, Chad Wiens of Lake Crystal; daughter, Allie Wiens; son, Ethan Wiens; step-son, Zak Anderson; parents, Judy and Dick Lindell of New Hope; siblings, Mark (Jane) Lindell of Anoka, Anne (Bill) Herndon of Washington, DC, Matthew (Shelly) Lindell of Anchorage, AK, and Reno (Sara) Lindell of Maple Grove, MN; parents-in-law, Donna and Glen Wiens of Lake Crystal; brothers-in-law, Todd (Jennie) Wiens and Kyle Wiens of Lake Crystal; sister-in-law, Krista (Eddy) Billman of Maple Grove; and many nieces, nephews, and friends.

 

She was preceded in death by her grandparents.

 

Emily’s family would like to thank everyone for their thoughts and prayers during this time.
