Emma Pauline Feist

Emma Feist, age 92, died January 13, 2024 at her Mankato home.

Service will be held 10:30 am Thursday at St. Boniface Chapel in Mankato. Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m. Wednesday with a 6:30 pm rosary at Mankato Mortuary. Burial will be in MN Veteran Cemetery-Camp Ripley. Memorials preferred to St. Boniface for masses.

Emma Pauline was born March 22, 1931 to Joseph and Emma (Grimes) Hass in Sleepy Eye. She graduated from Sleepy Eye High School and attended college in Ellendale, North Dakota and Mankato State University. She taught school in the area prior to her marriage to Eugene Feist on December 26, 1949. 

Emma worked at Tempo, Mankato First Realty as a real estate agent, Cotter and Company, and for other various employers. Her hobbies included making rosaries and computer solitaire.

Survivors include her three children, Pauline Feist of Mankato, Gene Feist of Square Butte, Montana, Robert (Allison) Feist of Little Falls, Minnesota; seven grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; two siblings, Sally Vanderwerf of Colorado Springs, Colorado, Steve Hass of Great Falls, Montana; numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Preceded in death by parents, husband, two infant sons, a granddaughter, and a sister.
