Esther Louise Holle

Esther Louise Holle, age 97, of Mankato passed away on Thursday, January 9, 2025 at Hillcrest Rehabilitation Center.

Funeral Service will be held at 11 a.m., on Wednesday, January 15, 2025 at the Mankato Mortuary, with visitation one hour prior. Burial will follow in Pilgrims Rest Cemetery, Mankato.

Esther was born on June 3, 1927 in Courtland, MN to Otto and Alvina (Poehler) Bublitz. She attended school in Courtland until the 8th grade. Esther then worked for various farmers, and her family following schooling. She married her husband, Reuben Holle on March 20, 1946 in New Ulm, MN. They moved to South Dakota, where they worked on a ranch and began their family. Esther and Reuben later moved to Mankato, and built their home where the family continued to grow.

Esther enjoyed working with ceramics, cooking, gardening, traveling, and most of all checking in with her family.

Esther is survived by her daughter, Dorothy (Pete) Ybarra; 8 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; daughter-in-law, Linda Holle, as well as nieces, nephews, and friends.

Esther was preceded in death by her parents, Otto and Alvina Bublitz; husband, Reuben; children, Joanne Bolduc, and Dennis Holle.

The family would like to thank Mayo Hospice, and Hillcrest Rehabilitation Center for their wonderful care of Esther.
