Florine "Flip" Lynn (Hoppe) Blaschko

Florine “Flip” (Hoppe) Blaschko lover of family and friends.  Deeply rooted in her love of the outdoors, flowers, feathers, spirits and energy is now soaring high with angelic wings. After a battle with lung cancer, Flip passed peacefully at home surrounded by her family on February 14, 2020 at the age of 64.  

She is preceded in death by her father, Eugene Hoppe; grandparents, Joe and Marie Floer; and friends, Lynn and Mikeal Bisch. 

Flip is survived by her husband, Steve; children, Sarina (Mike) Williamson and Nate (Tiffany) Blaschko; 5 rambunctious grandsons,  Sebastian (6), Logan (6), Taggart (4), Gavin (2.5), and Gabriel (1); her mom, Elvera (Sid) Tousley; and siblings, twin sister, Maurine Samlaska, Leon (Roxanne) Hoppe, Larry (Cindy) Hoppe, Sue (Al) Moon, and Sherry (Dwight) Kramer, and Kyle (Deb) Hoppe; along with many nieces and nephews who loved her dearly.  

In lieu of flowers and cards, we ask that people make a donation to the Madison Lake Fire Department Relief Association in Flip’s honor (P.O. Box 98, Madison Lake, MN 56063). This organization is very close to Flip’s heart, as she spent many hours working with them, and her son, Nathan, who is Fire Chief as of 2020.
