Glenn Stryker, age 74, of North Mankato, died on May 9, 2023, at Mayo Clinic Health System, Mankato.
A private family burial will take place at Resurrection Cemetery in St. Peter. Memorials are preferred to Mayo Clinic, Nicollet and Blue Earth County Historical Societies, and First Lutheran Church, St. Peter.
Glenn was born on March 31, 1949, in Paterson, New Jersey to Harry Jr. and Eleanor (Macchia) Stryker. Glenn spent 17 years as a 911 dispatcher for the Fire and Police in Clifton, NJ. He was a volunteer tour guide at Lambert’s Castle in Paterson, NJ. He retired in 2007 and relocated to North Mankato. Glenn worked at the Harkin Store in New Ulm and was a dedicated volunteer with Mayo Clinic, Mankato for many years. Glenn was actively involved with the Nicollet and Blue Earth County Historical Societies, and he served as a judge for local school chess competitions. He was a member of First Lutheran Church, St. Peter.
Glenn is survived by his sister, Elaine (Bob) Peterson; nieces, Robin (Alan) Hughes, Cindy (Greg) Bello, and Amy (Brandon) Fast; seven great nieces and nephews; eight great-great nieces and nephews; and many friends at Koppen Gardens. He was preceded in death by his parents.
