SSGT (Ret.) Gregg Cecil Finch, 60, of Janesville, died September 8, 2021 at Mayo Clinic Health System in Mankato.

Visitation will be from 1-4 p.m., Sunday, September 12, 2021 at Mankato Mortuary, 1001 N Riverfront Dr., in Mankato. Graveside service with military honors will be 10:00 a.m., Monday, September 13, 2021 at Kasota Hill Cemetery.

Gregg was born December 23, 1960 to Everett and Barbara (Taylor) Finch in Mankato. He graduated from Mankato East High School in 1979. Following graduation, Gregg enlisted in the United States Air Force retiring after 20 years of service. While serving, he met and married Donna Rhea in Sherwood, Arkansas. Together, they raised four children. After retiring from the Air Force, Gregg worked in IT for the Maple River school district until his death.

In his free time, Gregg enjoyed fishing, classic cars, pigeon racing, music, playing saxophone with the bands, Jim Lawrence, Norma and the Sidemen and the Moonlighters; spending time with his family and especially his grandchildren…and Mark.

Gregg is survived by his wife, Donna; children, Michal “Gabe” (Mark Vanderwilt), Nicholas (Melissa Willis) Finch, Gregg (Rachel Dotson) Finch, Jr., and Rachel Finch; grandchildren, Zachary, Brayden, Raylen, Harper, Evelyn, Baby Gregg III, Genna, and honorable mention, Gabby “Gabbatron”; mother-in-law, Mary (Bill) King; siblings, Rhett (Sandy) Finch, Scott (Tammy) Finch, Todd (Dawn) Finch, Kirk (Beth) Finch, Nona (Tim) Miller, Paul Finch, and Drew (Andrea) Finch; many nieces and nephews; work wife, Dee Stencel; many close friends; and three dogs, Bella, Baxter, and Buttercup.
