Gregory E. Goettlicher, age 72 of Good Thunder, passed away on Monday, November 13, 2023, surrounded by family.

Celebration of Life will be from 1:00-4:00 pm on Saturday, November 18th at Mankato Masonic Lodge #12 in Mankato. Any memorials received will be directed to one of the organizations that Greg was actively supporting; Wounded Warrior Project, Disabled American Veterans, Smile Train, Special Olympics, Shriners Children's, March of Dimes, St. Jude's, USO, American Cancer Society, American Heart Association, VFW, and Our Daily Bread. 

Gregory Eugene was born February 17, 1951, in Mankato to Ernest and Evelyn (Whalen) Goettlicher. He was raised by caring siblings and lived in the Mankato area most of his life. He graduated from the Good Thunder High School in 1969. Greg was united in marriage to Gayle Kaul at St. John's Lutheran in Good Thunder. Throughout his life, he was employed at Hubbard Milling, Maple River School District, Mankato School District, and ADM where he retired. He enjoyed being at the lake fishing, watching drag racing, and most importantly spending time with his grandkids.

Left to remember Greg are his wife, Gayle; children: Dana (Nathan) Heins, and Dan (Kelsey); grandchildren: Caden, Mason, and Anika; siblings: Nancy Bartell, Janet Gaul, Judy (Dennis) Stover, and Chris (Judy); sister-in-law Sandie; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by brothers: Gary (Sara) and Mike; sister, Pat (Keith); and brothers-in-law: Bill Bartell, Phil Gaul, and Tom VanEaton.
