Harold “Jake” Jacobson, age 70, of Mankato, formerly of Amboy, died on Thursday, December 8, 2022 at his home.
Memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, December 12, 2022 at St. John Lutheran Church in Mapleton. Visitation will be 1 to 4 p.m. on Sunday, December 11, 2022 at St. John Lutheran Church in Mapleton and will continue at the church for one hour prior to the service on Monday.
Harold Edwin, the son of Pearl and Norma (Frisvold) Jacobson, was born on February 19, 1952 in Mankato. He graduated from Lake Crystal High School in 1970. He was united in marriage to Ruth Ann Schull on December 4, 1971 at St. John Lutheran Church. Jake worked for numerous Ford Dealerships as an auto mechanic. He also was a city maintenance worker at the City of Lake Crystal. Jake was a member of Ford Parts and Service and served on many church counsels at St. John Lutheran Church in Mapleton and Jackson Lake Lutheran Church in Amboy. He enjoyed fishing and spending time with his grandchildren. Jake also loved working on and driving his Ford convertible.
He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Ruth Jacobson; children, Jodi Bennett and Jared (Jennifer) Jacobson; grandchildren, Bryan Bennett, Ashlyn Bennett, Harrison Jacobson, and Isabelle Jacobson; siblings, Marie Jacobson, Harvey (Jody) Jacobson, Mary (Keith) Johnson, Marilyn (Jamey) Sweet, Millie (Mernie) Swalve, and Hayden (Deanie) Jacobson; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Harry Jacobson; grandparents; and parents-in-law, Walter and Dorothy Schull.
