Helen L. Kalis, age 83 of Mankato died Wednesday December 9, 2020 at Mayo Clinic Health Systems in Mankato.

Graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, December 18, 2020 at Woodland Hills Memorial Park in Mankato. Memorials may be given to Cindy or Stacy Kalis, 2621 E. Main Street, Mankato, MN 56001. Mankato Mortuary in charge of arrangements.

Helen was born October 14, 1937 to Lyle and Rachel (Graham) Reisenbigler in St. Cloud, MN. She married Carroll “Marv” Kalis on September 1, 1959 in Waldorf, Minnesota. Helen worked at Singer Sewing, MCTC, Johnson Co., and over 50 years in child daycare. She enjoyed sewing, travel and her pets.  

She is survived by her two daughters, Cindy Kalis (special friend Doug Lueck) and Stacy Kalis both of Mankato; brother Tom Reisenbigler; two sisters, Donna (Harry) Bauer, Patty Carlson; nieces and nephews; her dog “Ruby” and therapy dog “Gracie”.

Preceded in death by her parents, husband Carroll, son Mark, and brother Jerry.
