Hilbert C. Bergemann

Hilbert C. Bergemann, age 92, of Mankato, died on Thursday, January 21, 2021 at New Perspective. 

A Memorial Service will be held on Sunday, January 24 at 1:30 p.m. at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church, Mankato.  Burial will be in St. John’s Lutheran Cemetery, Good Thunder at a later date.  Memorials are preferred to the donor’s choice.  Mankato Mortuary is assisting the family with arrangements. 

Hilbert was born on August 18, 1928 in Good Thunder to Oscar and Helena (Tonn) Bergemann.  On June 27, 1954, Hilbert was united in marriage to Arlene Birr.  Hilbert was a lifelong dairy farmer in the Good Thunder area.  He was a member of the DHIA Association and took pride and joy in his dairy herd. 

Hilbert is survived by his wife, Arlene; children, Linda (Lynn) Sorgatz, Gayle (Mark) Mortensen, Edith (Matt) Williams, and Barbara (Chris) Anderson; grandchildren, Neal Sorgatz, Jesse Sorgatz, Ben Sorgatz, Janna Sorgatz, Jodi (Chris) Lamsam, Kevin Mortensen, Erica Mortensen, Jenean (Mitchell) Cherney, Thomas Williams, Stephanie (Matt) Lauer, Melany (Cory) Jans; great-grandchildren, Nora and Harrison Lauer and Grayson Jans; and sister, Norma Peters.  He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Sharon; and brothers, Elmer and Melvin.
