Jackie was born on October 27, 1953, in Marshall, MN to parents Edward and Catherine Paradis. She grew up with her ten siblings on a dairy Farm outside of Marshall. She and her sister Margaret along with their brother Kenneth, like some of the older ones, helped their dad with the dairy chores. Of course, there was a large garden which meant many hours spent weeding and later helping to can and freeze their produce. Which later explained why her lack of interest in doing the same after she was married. Jackie also became quite an accomplished seamstress making many of her own clothes for school.

The first 9 years of her education was spent at Holy Redeemer Catholic School. She finished her education at Marshall Public Schools and graduated in 1972. After a couple of years working in Marshall, she met the love of her life, Dennis Dubbeldee. On July 20, 1974, they were united in marriage in Marshall at Holy Redeemer Parish. From that union they raised 3 amazing children. Their first several years of marriage they had several moves finally ending up in Lake Crystal. For 23 years she worked at the Taylor Corporation in North Mankato. Jackie’s hard work ethic made her a valuable employee. After three spinal surgeries she retired with her husband in 2020.

Jackie enjoyed watching her children grow up to be amazing adults and then move on to raise their own families. Many trips were made to the cities or other parts of the country to follow grandchildren’s sporting events and teaching them life skills in the kitchen. Jackie and Dennis enjoyed camping and had many trips sharing fun times with family and friends. She loved to cook and bake. If asked to bring a dish to pass she brought six. Jackie would bake and sew numerous items for Holy Family Church Fall Festival. She enjoyed collecting many new recipes and sharing new dishes with her friends and family.

Jackie is survived by her husband of 50 years, Dennis; children, Cheri (David) Byhre, Curtis Dubbeldee (Sheena Perry), and Carla Dubbeldee (Dan Schmidt); grandchildren, Katlyn and Hannah Byhre, Oliver Dubbeldee, and Eliana Duggan; siblings, Rebecca (Dave) Gifford, Margaret Novosad, Janet (James) Kor, Alice (Ron) Demuth, Juanita (Bruce) Bot, Lawrence (Tami) Paradis, Susan (Mike) Gruhot, Charles (Maia) Paradis, and Shirley Paradis; sister-in-law, Trish Paradis, as well as many nieces, nephews, and friends.

Jackie was preceded in death by her parents, Edward and Catherine Paradis; siblings, Kenneth Paradis, and Jean Paradis; brother-in-law, James Novosad; nephew, Dustin Gifford, and niece, Sandy Gifford.

She will be dearly missed by her family and all the friends she made along the way.
