James "Jay" Lowell Loeffler

James “Jay” Lowell Loeffler, age 66, of Eagle Lake passed away on Saturday, October 26, 2024.

Visitation will be held from 4-7 p.m., on Thursday, October 31, 2024, at the Mankato Mortuary. Burial will be at 10:30 a.m., Friday, November 1, 2024, at Immaculate Conception Catholic Cemetery, St. Clair.

Jay was born to James and Rose Loeffler on March 12, 1958. He graduated from St. Clair High School in 1976. After high school he went right into the workforce. Jay was hard-working and dedicated. He had several different jobs throughout the years. Some of which include owning Main Street Auto, and working at MEI Elevator Solutions and Cambria. He has been retired for several years.

Jay’s hobbies and interests helped define who he was. He avidly enjoyed hunting and fishing, often spending his weekends traveling with his many friends. His love for the outdoors was something he shared with his children, grandchildren, friends and “adopted sons” as we like to say. He had a soft spot for dogs and had several throughout the years, most notably Reese and Betsy.

Though Jay may not have liked being the center of attention, he deserves to have his long years of love for his family and friends honored. He was a man of integrity, kindness, generosity, and he left a lasting impact on everyone who knew him. His friends have mentioned often that his sense of humor will not be forgotten. We find comfort in knowing that our Dad's legacy lives on through the lessons he taught us and the many people he had an effect on throughout the area.

Jay is survived by his children, Jennifer Loeffler, and Jessica Hansen (Loeffler); grandchildren, Hailey and Ryder Loeffler, and Aaron, Madison, and Colbie Hansen; siblings, Alan (Donna), Terri, Pat, and Julie (Paul) Bowe, as well as many nieces, nephews, friends, and extended family members who will miss him dearly.

Jay was preceded in death by his parents, James and Rose Loeffler.
