Janice M. Rozeboom

Janice M. Rozeboom, age 85 of North Mankato passed away on Saturday, July 20, 2023 at Mayo Health System-Mankato.

Private family services are being held. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be given in her memory to the American Heart Association or the Alzheimer's Association. Condolences for the family can be left at www.mankatomortuary.com.

Janice May was born November 18, 1938 in Ottumwa IA to Leader P. and Susie L. (Lanning) George. She married her high school sweetheart, Paul Rozeboom on September 17, 1960. Janice received her Bachelor's in Nursing from the University of Iowa. Together, they moved to Mankato in 1969 where she stayed home to raise her children. She also worked at Immanuel-St. Joseph's Hospital as an on-call RN and volunteer chaplain. While raising her family she was active with the Girl Scouts, was a member of the Red Hats, and was a supporter of the Guthrie Theater and Minnesota State Theater. She was an avid artist, creating oil painting and fused glass jewelry. She also enjoyed watching birds, gardening, and was a lifelong learner at MSU.

 Left to remember Janice are her daughters: Karla Rozeboom and Laura Hendel; grandchildren: Katherine (Isaac Young) Hendel and Nathan (Daylen) Hendel; and other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul in 2019; parents; and brother, Max (Evelyn) George.
