Jason Timothy Murphy

Jason T. Murphy, age 40, of Minneapolis, died on October 20, 2022, as the result of a double homicide by an individual with mental illness.   

Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, November 5, 2022, at 11:00 a.m. at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church.  Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at church.  Northview-North Mankato Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.  The service will be livestreamed from Jason’s obituary page at www.mankatomortuary.com.

Jason was born on November 2, 1981, in Minneapolis and was adopted by Robert and Marsha (Piper) Murphy.  Jason was a handyman by trade and enjoyed woodworking.  Jason was very caring and was always helping others who were less fortunate.  He was creative and artsy.  He enjoyed fishing and camping.  More than anything, Jason loved his daughter, Madisyn.  Jason’s memory will live on in the hearts of all of us.

Jason is survived by his parents, Bob and Marsha; brother, Chris; daughter, Madisyn; grandmother, Lois Piper; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.  He was preceded in death by his grandparents.
