Jill Schauberger

Jill Angela Schauberger, 64, of Nicollet, died December 1, 2022 at her home.

A private graveside service will be held at a later date in Swea City, Iowa. Northview-North Mankato Mortuary is assisting the family.

Jill was born November 13, 1958 to Merle and Norma (Bleckwenn) Lockwood in Estherville, Iowa. She was baptized and confirmed at Our Savior Lutheran Church in Swea City, Iowa. She graduated from Swea City Community School in 1976. On July 15, 1995, Jill married Douglas Schauberger. Together, they made their home in Nicollet, Minnesota where Doug worked as a veterinarian.

Jill was a church organist at Our Savior Lutheran Church in Swea City for over 20 years and taught Sunday School. In her free time, she enjoyed baking and cooking, traveling with Doug, and had a passionate love for animals.

Jill is survived by her husband of 27 years, Doug; brother, Mike (Rhonda) Lockwood of Swea City, Iowa; two nieces, Malloree and Rachel; sisters-in-law, Cathy Schauberger, Deb Jefferson, and Shirley Schauberger; brother-in-law, Don (Robin) Schauberger, Bill Schauberger, and Steve (Lea) Schauberger; and her beloved kitty, Sassy.

Jill was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Brianna Jeanne; and brother-in-law, Frank Jefferson.
