JoAnn “Jodie” Lamb was born December 6, 1935 in Hancock County, IL to Samuel and Marjorie “Babe” (Peck) Lamb. She graduated from Colusa High School in Illinois in 1953, then earned a Bachelor of Science in Music from Carthage College in 1957 and focused primarily on pipe organ, piano, and vocal performance. Jodie was united in marriage to Delmer Eggert on June 14, 1958 at Old Trinity Lutheran Church. As newlyweds, Jodie and Del relocated to Iowa and welcomed three children, Carrie, Christian, and Angela. In 1970, they moved to Mankato and she has been active in the music community. Jodie played organ and directed choirs at Bethlehem Lutheran Church and First Presbyterian Church in Mankato for over 20 years. Jodie truly did the Lord’s work with children. Most of her choir children caller her their choir teacher, not just a director. She taught piano lessons for over 50 years, starting as a teenager.

Jodie is survived by her husband, Delmer Eggert, of Mankato; children, Carrie Willodson (Scott Foss) of Mankato, Christian (Diann) Eggert of Hermantown, and Angela (Jeff) Williamson of Mankato; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, sister-in-law, Rosalie Eggert, and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Virginia Lamb and Annabelle Kehr; brother-in-law, Ronald Eggert; step-father, Earl White, and many of his extended family members who were an important part of Jodie’s life after her parents passed away at a young age.
