Joel Timothy Brude

Joel Timothy Brude, age 66, of Rapidan passed away on Sunday, February 5, 2023.

Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, February 10, 2023, at Peace Lutheran Church, North Mankato with visitation one hour prior. Private burial will be held. The funeral will be livestreamed and available on Joel’s obituary page at www.mankatomortuary.com

Joel was born to Paul and Harriet Brude on December 1, 1956, in Mankato, Minnesota. Joel graduated from Wellcome Memorial in 1974. He then attended and graduated from Mankato Vocational and Technical College. Joel was a lifelong farmer. He was part of Sons of Norway, Viking Age Club, the Rapidan Heritage Society, and a member of Peace Lutheran Church, North Mankato. Spending time with family and organizing family gatherings was important to Joel. Joel departed this life confident of eternal life through Christ Jesus our Lord.

Joel is survived by his daughter, Megan (Nick) Bergman; grandchildren, Ben, Jack, and Theo Bergman; siblings, Jan (David) Bateman, Jill (Kevin) Krause, Jon Brude, Jay Brude, and Jeanna (David) Sablatura; aunt, Vivian Strand, as well as many nieces, nephews, and longtime family friend, Betty Mace.

Joel was preceded in death by his parents, Paul and Harriet Brude, and granddaughter, Emma Bergman.
