Joel K. Schaub age 37, of Albert Lea died Thursday, August 22, 2019 at St. Mary’s Hospital in Rochester.

Celebration of Life service 11:00 a.m. Saturday, August 31, 2019 at Northview~ North Mankato Mortuary (2060 Commerce Drive, North Mankato, MN 56003). Visitation will be held one hour before the service on Saturday. Burial will be at Eagle Lake Cemetery.

Joel Kent Schaub was born August 11, 1982 to Alvin and Kathleen (Erickson) Schaub in Marshall, Minnesota. He was the second of two children. He grew up in the Mankato and Waseca area and graduated from Waseca High School class of 2001. He worked for K & K Fabrication as a Steel Cad Drafter. His hobbies included playing video games, loved comic books and super hero movies.

He is survived by his parents Alvin and Kathleen Schaub of Waseca; sister, Angela (Jason) Stutzka; niece, Jasmine Stutzka all of Lakeville, MN; grandparents, Gerald and Carolyn (Cunningham) Erickson of Brookings, SD; many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

Preceded in death by his grandparents, Harold and Audrey (Fowler) Schaub.
