John M. Frank

John “Super Duck” Milton Frank, 89, of Mankato passed peacefully on Sunday, November 10, 2024.

Memorial service will be held at 11:00am on Thursday, November 21, 2024, at Northview- North Mankato Mortuary with visitation one hour prior. Burial to follow at Calvary Cemetery- Mankato. In lieu of flowers, donations preferred to the Fifth Avenue Al- Anon (1430 Fifth Ave., Mankato, MN 56001).

John was born on May 19, 1935, in Mankato, MN to Milton and Eunice Frank (Skalisky). He graduated from the Faribault School of the Deaf where he had learned the carpentry trade. John had later become a union bricklayer and eventually retired after over 50 years in the industry. John married Virginia Rauchman on April 8, 1961, and from this union 3 children were born: Mary, Rick, and David.

John was an avid hunter, fisherman, and billiards player. He loved the outdoors and to spend time with his friends and family. He also was proud of his 40+ years of sobriety that he gained with the help of the Fifth Avenue Al- Anon.

John is preceded in death by his parents, Milton and Eunice Frank, and his wife, Virginia Frank.

John is survived by his children: Mary (Keith) Hohenstein, Rick (Mary) Frank, and David (Jeanne) Frank; grandchildren: Michelle Seibel, Bethany Baker, Brenner Hohenstein, and Molly Frank; great-grandchild: Mac Seibel; siblings: Sue (Richard) Loscheider, Jeanne Frank, Barb Frank, Tom (Polly) Frank and Sandy (Don) Christ.
