John "Pat" Biedscheid

John “Pat” Biedscheid, 66, of Mankato, passed away October 5, 2020 at Mayo Clinic Health System in Mankato.

A visitation will be held from 4:00 to 7:00p.m., Friday, October 9, 2020 at Northview-North Mankato Mortuary, 2060 Commerce Dr., in North Mankato. Private burial will take place at Kern’s Oak Grove Cemetery in rural North Mankato at a later date.

Pat was born July 5, 1954 to Clement and Audrie (Rentz) Biedscheid in Mankato. He graduated from Mankato High School in 1973. On June 18, 1977, he married Marilyn Smith. Together, they raised one son, Paul.  Pat retired from Kato Engineering after 44 years and was a member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church. Pat’s pride and joy was his granddaughter, Callie. He enjoyed spending time with her and his wife and son. Pat will be dearly missed by many.

Pat is survived by his wife, Marilyn of 43 years; son, Paul Biedscheid; granddaughter, Callie; brother, Jerry (Judy) Biedscheid; and brothers and sister-in-law.

He was preceded in death by his parents; parents-in-law; and a brother and sisters-in-law.
