Joseph Newberger

Joseph Francis Newberger, 67, of Madison Lake, died November 4, 2022 at his home.

Memorial service will be held 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, November 9, 2022 at Northview-North Mankato Mortuary, 2060 Commerce Dr., in North Mankato with visitation one hour prior to the service. Private burial will be at Eagle Lake Cemetery at a later date.

Joe was born August 17, 1955 to Dennis and Gloria (Fernkes) Newberger in Minneapolis. He graduated from Washburn High School in 1973. Joe worked as a mechanic until his retirement in 2017. In his free time Joe enjoyed being an avid Minnesota Twins fan, going to the state fair with his children, his yorkie, Lily, and especially being "papa" to his grandchildren.

Joe is survived by his children, Brittney (Brady) Schloesser, Beth (Brian) Corbin, and Kevin (Carly) Newberger; grandchildren, Hayden and Paisley; former spouse, Janine Newberger; brothers, Jim (Kathy) and Jeff; sister-in-law, Lynette Newberger; and many nieces and nephews.

Joe was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, John and Jay.
