Joseph C. Strong, age 92 of Elysian and formerly of St. Paul Park, passed away on Saturday, January 13, 2024 at Whispering Creek Nursing Home in Janesville.

Joseph Cyrus was born August 15, 1931 in Mankato to Leo L. and Mary T. (Klein) Strong. He was united in marriage to Nadine V. Griffiths at First Presbyterian Church, Mankato. They lived a short time in Mankato until moving to St. Paul Park where Joe worked for LCL Transportation as a truck driver. He was a member of the Moose Lodge, and the Teamsters Local 120. He enjoyed being at the cabin on the lake, fishing, watching westerns, wintering in AZ and visiting with the neighbors.
Left to remember Joe are his children: Kristy (Richard) Meyer, Mark (Sheila), Timothy (Kimberly), Amy (Mike) Carroll, and Joseph (Susan); 8 grandchildren: Christopher Meyer, SueAnn Mohamed, Dustin, Zachary Lindsey, Jamie, Jacquelyn Bauer, James and Joshua; 12 great-grandchildren; 8 siblings: Marvin, Milton, Gary, Junior, Sharon, Jeanette, Laurel, and MaryAnn; and many other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his wife, Nadine in 2016; great-grandson Collen; and siblings: MaryLee, Ron, Everett and Delbert.
