It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Joshya Dantemere Juberian, a beloved son, grandson, brother, and friend, who left this world far too soon on January 18, 2025, at the tender age of 15. Joshya suffered injuries in a skiing accident, and his spirit, characterized by warmth, curiosity, and humor, will be profoundly missed by all who knew him.
In honor of Joshya’s memory, we will hold a viewing in celebration of his life from 4-7pm, Friday, January 31, 2025 at Northview-North Mankato Mortuary (2060 Commerce Drive, North Mankato, MN 56003). At 7pm, family and friends will come together to share stories, laughter and love as we reflect on the extraordinary person Joshya was and how profoundly he touched our lives.

Joshya was born on December 21, 2009, in the comfort of his home in Mankato, Minnesota, to his parents, Natalie Bratuchin and Joshua Juberian. Throughout his life, he embodied the qualities of a caring and compassionate person. He attended Rosa Parks Elementary School as well as Prairie Winds Middle School and was well-loved as a freshman at Mankato East High School. Bright and witty, Joshya had an innate ability to spark laughter and joy wherever he went. His kindness extended especially toward animals and those in need, always ready with open arms to help a friend or family member. From a young age, he exhibited a protective nature, often looking after those he loved, especially his younger brother, Nico. Their bond was special; Joshya took great pride in teasing Nico and ensuring that he felt cherished. In addition to his affectionate spirit, Joshya found great joy in his passions. He relished the thrill of gaming, often immersed in his favorite titles for hours on end. His love for the great outdoors was evident through fishing trips with family and friends, forging connections that would last a lifetime. His playful nature was complemented by his fondness for pizza from Domino's, particularly when loaded with an array of toppings—each slice shared with family brought him immense happiness. Joshya’s rich and vibrant life was surrounded by an amazing group of friends and his loyalty to them was unwavering. He cherished those relationships deeply, and his absence will leave an undeniable void in their lives.
Joshya is survived by his mom, Natalie (Tashaka Johnson) Bratuchin of Mankato; dad, Joshua Juberian of Mankato; brother, Nicolai “Nico” Bratuchin of Mankato; half-siblings, Taylor and Tyler Volk; maternal grandmother, Deanne Kintzi; paternal grandmother, Deb Juberian; aunts, Nicky (Larry) Byrd, Brenda (Perry) Junker, Natasha (Roni Zorzan) Bratuchin, and Sue Rutherford; plus numerous cousins and extended family.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Liswoy Iwan Bratuchin.
