Josie B. Lander

Josie B. Lander, age 90 of Mapleton died Thursday, July 2, 2020 at The Beacon in Mapleton, Minnesota.

Graveside service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday at Union Cemetery in Mapleton. Olson- Tichenor Funeral Home is assisting with arrangements.

Josie was born November 8, 1929 to Robert and Josie (Byrum) Morris in Rocky Hock, NC. Josie was united in marriage to Donald Schutte on December 1, 1950 he died on September 27, 1967. She married Charles Lander on April 3, 1969 in Gaylord, MN. Charles died November 5, 2013. She worked most of her life as a nursing assistant. She was a member of St. John Lutheran Church in Mapleton and was a very passionate member of the VFW Auxiliary. She enjoyed crocheting, gardening, flowers and her pets.

Josie is survived by her four children, Loretta Bach of Park Rapids, MN, Roberta Ross (partner, Ed McGee) of Wilson, WI, Dale (Pat) Schutte of Darlington, SC, Richard (Nicole) Lander of Mapleton, MN; nine grandchildren, Laura Olson, Michael Bach, Amy Rademacher, Donald Ross, Heidi Ross, Dustin Schutte, Brett Monigold, Jill Raymond, Jessica Kaminski; great- grandchildren, Tyler, Jared and Kyle Mellnick, Jacob, and Michael Monigold, Jordyn Ekdahl, Dawson Schutte, Tyler, Kylie Olson, Christian, James and Matthew Bach, Brady, Nathan and Paisley Rademacher, April, Brittany, Jaycie and Michaela Regner, Riley, Morgan and Priya McGee; six siblings, Louvenia Stewart, Ruth Worrell, Florence Mosley, Mary Greene, Marjorie Atherton, Samuel (Mary Ann) Morris; many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Preceded in death by her parents, two husbands, infant son, and four siblings, Robert Preston Morris, Carolyn Morris, Sarah Worrell and Franklin Morris.
