Juan Berrones, Jr.

Juan Berrones Jr, age 51, passed away Tuesday, October 22, 2019 at the VA Hospital in Minneapolis, MN surrounded by his family.

Funeral Mass will be held at 6pm, Friday, October 25, 2019 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Mankato, MN with visitation one hour prior. Please share a memory of Juan with his family and view his video tribute at www.mankatomortuary.com.

Juan was born in Dr. Arroyo, NL in Mexico and raised in Texas to parents Juan Berrones, Sr. and Gregoria Berrones. He attended State Technical College and Mankato State University. Juan was active in the US Army from 1989 – 1994, then Army National Guard from 1994 – 2009. In 2005, he was deployed to Iraq and honorably discharged after 20 years in 2009. He worked at Jones Metal in Mankato for 10 years and then started his own trucking business leased to Stencel Trucking in Minnesota Lake. Juan enjoyed cars, listening to music, spending time with family and wearing his ostrich boots.

He is survived by his wife of 23 years, Maria F. Berrones; and his sons, Antonio, Juan, and Carlos Berrones.
