Judi Kay, the daughter of Edward and Eleanor (Larson) Bolger, was born on February 22, 1960, in Mankato, MN. In 1963, her family moved to Long Prairie where Judi attended public school until her father’s death in 1978, at which time the family returned to Mankato. After Judi graduated from Mankato West, she moved into the REM Mankato group home and went to work at MRCI, from which she retired in 2019. Judi enjoyed reading, coloring, doing jigsaw puzzles, traveling, and dining out, but her greatest joy was her family. She was a cherished part of her family, for whom her exuberant enjoyment of life, kindness, compassion, and bravery in overcoming her challenges were an inspiration.
Judi is survived by three sisters, Kristin (Deane) Olson of North Mankato, Jan (Tony) Rogness of Albert Lea, Lynn (Gregg) Dale of Inver Grove Heights; two “neeceez”, Mandy (Derik) Budig of Sioux Falls, SD, Krista (Chad) Kemp of Champlin, one “nefoo,” Christopher Dale of Minneapolis; and multiple adored great-nieces and great-nephews. Judi was preceded in death by her parents.
